Lightweight (electric) tire-type gantry crane is a new product independently researched and developed by the institute's electromechanical design institute and possesses independent intellectual property rights. The four innovative technologies of this project have obtained national patents. It has significant novelty in the research of four-reel control technology, structural lightening, energy-saving technologies, and key technologies of automatic control systems. Experts agreed that the research results of this project are centered on the four-cylinder drive of the lifting-carriage operation. It is a major technological innovation of the traditional RTG, and it has been applied for the first time at home and abroad and is at the international advanced level.

Light electric tire gantry crane passed technical appraisal
Recently, the Department of Science and Education of the Ministry of Communications has conducted technical appraisal and acceptance of the “Light (Electric) Tyre Type Gantry Crane†national key new product project undertaken by the Institute of Water Transportation Science and Technology, Ministry of Communications. The appraisal committee unanimously approved the appraisal and acceptance.
